His background includes the deployment and management of security dog teams in demanding operational environments, as well as responsibility for staff supervision, client liaison, risk assessment, site procedures and operational standards.
As Director of Action K9 Security Ltd, Stefan combines hands-on K9 expertise with the commercial and operational responsibilities involved in running a professional security organisation.
NASDU Approved Instructor
Stefan is currently listed by the National Association of Security Dog Users (NASDU) as an approved General Purpose Level 2 Instructor/Trainer.
His approach to training focuses equally on the ability of the dog and the competence of the handler.
Handlers are expected to demonstrate not only practical dog-handling skills, but also a professional understanding of legislation, health and safety, dynamic risk assessment, working-dog welfare, incident management and responsible operational deployment.

Award-Winning Working Dog Experience
One of Stefan’s most notable achievements came in 2015, when he and his dog Yuko won the NASDU National Trials.
Following this achievement, Stefan and Yuko became the first recipients of the Outstanding Security Dog of the Year Award, presented by the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals.
The recognition reflected performance across professional working-dog disciplines including obedience, agility and operational security exercises.
This achievement remains one of the strongest examples of Stefan’s practical experience and commitment to professional working-dog standards.
Police Dog Training Background
Stefan’s professional development has also included Police Dog Instructor training with Hampshire Constabulary.
This experience contributed to his understanding of structured working-dog development, operational obedience, control, searching, scenario-based training and the standards expected from professional working-dog teams.
His training philosophy is strongly influenced by operational reliability rather than appearance alone.
A working dog must be confident, environmentally stable, controllable and able to perform effectively when required.
London 2012
Stefan was also involved in K9 security operations connected with the London 2012 Olympic Games.
